Body & Chassis
The Slash kit features a tough fiber-composite monocoque chassis engineered for stability, strength, and long-term durability. Its 13.2-inch wheelbase and generous ground clearance help the truck stay planted over rough terrain while maintaining predictable handling. The included clear clipless short course body offers a clean, streamlined appearance with reinforced panels and heavy-duty latches that hold tight during intense action yet release quickly for easy access. Tube-style bumpers and body reinforcements add extra protection, making the platform ready for hard driving right from the first run.
Electronics & Control System
Traxxas equips the Slash kit with a complete electronics package, including the waterproof XL-5™ Electronic Speed Control and the Titan 12T 550 Motor for reliable torque and consistent power delivery. The TQ™ 2.4GHz radio system provides dependable control with an ergonomic transmitter and a micro receiver protected inside a watertight enclosure. The XL-5 ESC offers multiple driving profiles, including Sport, Race, and Training Mode, giving drivers the flexibility to tailor performance to their skill level. With LiPo and NiMH compatibility, plus simple one-button setup, the electronics are designed for ease of use and long-term versatility.
Suspension, Drivetrain & Wheels
The Slash kit arrives with Extreme Heavy-Duty suspension components, including strengthened C-hubs, axle carriers, and steering blocks for added durability. Fully adjustable oil-filled Ultra Shocks™ with X-ring technology pair with progressive-rate springs to deliver smooth damping and responsive handling across varied terrain. The Velineon®-ready Magnum 272™ metal-gear transmission, Torque-Control slipper clutch, and planetary differential ensure efficient power transfer and long-lasting performance. Additionally, pre-glued BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A Tires mounted on dual-profile short course truck wheels provide dependable traction and scale-inspired appearance.
