About the BMW 318i STW
Clear Body
The clear polycarbonate body accurately replicates the compact racing lines and distinctive stance of the BMW 318i STW, providing a realistic on-track appearance. Separate molded components for mirrors and rear wing add scale detail, while the transparent shell allows for custom painting and decal application to match historic liveries or personal designs. Light mounting points for optional headlights and taillights further enhance visual realism.
Performance Chassis
The TT-01 Type-E shaft-driven 4WD chassis features a bathtub-style layout with motor and battery positioned low for a reduced center of gravity and enhanced balance. A fiberglass reinforced nylon upper deck and gear covers increase chassis rigidity, while the 3-piece tie rod ensures smooth, precise steering. Combined with 4-wheel double wishbone suspension and front and rear differentials, this setup delivers reliable and responsive touring car performance for competitive or hobby driving.
Included Electronics
This kit includes a torque-tuned RS-540 brushed motor paired with the Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 ESC, providing smooth, high-performance on-road racing. The ESC features a built-in capacitor for efficient power delivery, IP-67 waterproof rating, automatic throttle calibration, and configurable parameters using ESC jumpers. Together with the torque-tuned motor, the setup delivers higher top speeds, precise control, and dependable performance on the track.

Connector Information
When upgrading to a high current LiPo battery, it is recommended to also upgrade your battery connector. We recommend using an XT60 or T-Style connector for this application. Please check out the video below to learn how to solder on a T-style connector.
