Description
This is an optional RPM Rear Skid Plate, and is intended for use with the Associated SC10 4x4. RPM Rear Skid Plates for the Associated SC10 4x4 add an element of protection not present with stock components. The stock rear skid plate does not sit below the level of the chassis, leaving it exposed to impacts, sliding and grinding damage. That is no longer an issue with an RPM Rear Skid Plate installed. RPM skid plates add approx. 1/8” of chassis protection to the bottom of the truck to help eliminate that type of damage.
At 2” wide, these are also the widest skid plates available offering the maximum amount of protection possible. RPM has also eliminated the upper screw mounting hole. With that mounting location gone, rear skid plate installation and removal is as simple as removing a single screw, which also makes sway bar adjustments that much quicker because the skid plate no longer interferes with access to the sway bars!
