About the Ascent-18
Brushless Power and Precision Electronics
At the heart of the Ascent-18 is a high-performance 3450kv brushless motor, paired with a 3-channel receiver/ESC combo for smooth and responsive control. This setup provides ample torque and wheel speed to conquer demanding terrain. Complementing the motor is a 4kg coreless metal-geared micro servo, ensuring precise and reliable steering even under pressure. Combined with a 2.4GHz 3-channel radio system and 750mAh LiPo battery, the electronics package offers extended run times and plug-and-play convenience.
Advanced Suspension and Steering Geometry
The Ascent-18 is fitted with aluminum-capped oil-filled shocks that deliver smooth, tunable suspension for superior trail handling. Redcat’s “High Steer” (HS) geometry redesign improves steering angle and ground clearance at the C-hub, enhancing obstacle clearance and maneuverability. Portal axles, metal ring and pinion gears, and machined aluminum spools add strength and durability while maximizing performance. The 7mm wheel hexes allow easy customization with aftermarket wheels and tires.
