The Mugen Seiki MBX8R ECO 1/8 Off-Road Competition Electric Buggy Kit has been developed to provide racers with the next level of off-road kit. The MBX8R ECO shares key parts and features with its nitro counterpart to improve stability, rear traction, improved jumping, and have a wide tuning range. This electric chassis gives racers the adjustments needed to dial in on any track surface.
The MBX8R ECO uses updated narrow "C" and "D" pivot blocks with pivot inserts for increased tuneability. Longer box-shaped suspension arms can be paired with optional inserts allowing for suspension arm tuning. The molded rear uprights have CFRP plates to adjust the rear roll center.
The MBX8R ECO chassis features an updated design to accommodate the updated suspension geometry. The chassis also has additional machining for increased droop and ground clearance. The included lightweight high down-force wing allows more air to flow to improve jumping. The IFMAR legal wing is durable, lightweight, and very stable on the track and in the air.
High Traction Differentials (HTD) are included in the MBX8R ECO. The Mugen Seiki HTD provides increased acceleration, longer runtime, and more consistent handling. The HTDs also increase stability, traction and improve handling in bumpy conditions. The HTD differentials use 20T internal gears to improve consistency and to keep the differential super smooth. Using these makes it easier to time rhythm sections, better in bumpy and low grip conditions and help to increase traction. The MBX8R ECO comes with 13T bevel gear and 44T conical gears and 46T molded spur gear in the kit.
